PS to PDF conversion fails
Hi. I looked through your forum and found another post with my issue. I followed the directions found at http://www.printdistributor.com/content/faq-pd-acrobat-distiller but am still having problems.
We have a printer defined using the HP Color Laserjest 8500 PS driver. I followed the directions in the FAQ doc but when the PDF is generated, instead of a readable document, I get a PDF version of the PS doc.
The first few lines of the ps files are:
%-12345X@PJL JOB
@PJL SET HOLD=OFF
@PJL ENTER LANGUAGE = POSTSCRIPT
%!PS-Adobe-3.0
%%Title: Crystal Reports - Visit Report (Current Visit)
%%Creator: PScript5.dll Version 5.2.2
%%CreationDate: 4/1/2008 12:53:8
Any help is appreciated.

Sorry. I forgot to say that we are using the Adobe 6.0 Distiller.
I would prefer to use ghostscript but was not able to get that working either.

Mitch,
>> I get a PDF version of the PS doc.
Are you saying the actual PostScript code is printing?

Yes. It is really weird. Neither gs nor Adobe are translating the ps code to readable text.

Mitch,
Can you send your config.xml file into support at frogmorecs.com and I'll check it out.

I searched the whole server and do not find a config.xml.
2nd Apr 2008
In Print Distributor use the menu Tools->Open Config Folder
