Printing to 25 printers

I'am having problems trying to print to 25 printers at once. It gets to the 16th printer and won't send the job any further than that. I have tried it several different ways but its always the same once it gets to the 16th ( in any order ) thats it no go.

Can any one please shed more light on this and has anyone had more than 16 printers printing at the same time.

I have all 25 printers plugged direct into USB cards at the back of the computer)

Thanks in advance

Duncan,

We will do some testing and get back to you.

Duncan,

We have run some tests here and can't find any problems with the Epson
driver and Print Distributor.

Obviously the main difference is we don't have the 25 physical
printers to test with.

There are some things worth trying, the first is if you spool that
many jobs to an inkjet printer the spool folder is going to fill up
pretty quickly, keep an eye on the free disk space as the jobs spool
to make sure you aren't running low.

The second thing is to try turning off bidirectional communication for
the USB ports, you can do this by selecting the Ports tab in the
Printer Properties for each of the 25 printers.

Tony

Turning off bidirectional support seems to have done it.

Printing to all 25 printers now...YIPEEEEEE!!!

So what exactly does bidirectional support do??

We will run a few jobs to double check everything and then proceed to
purchase the software from your site

Thanks a heap for your help.

I will post this on the forum in case someone else has the same problem

Again thank you

Duncan

Bidirectional support lets Windows ask the printer for its status. This is how you can get information on ink levels and other status information.
