Assign IP

We have an application that prints directly to a network printer's IP address using post script. We have received several new printers that are not post script compatible. I wanted to use Ghostscript in conjuction with Print Distributor to work around this problem. Just wondering if anyone knows of a way to assign an IP address to a Print Distributor printer. Ideally, I'd direct the application to print to the PD's IP and then have PD redirect it to the appropriate printer.

Don,

I assume when you say IP you mean the LPR/LPD protocol over IP?

If this is the case you can set this up in Windows, we have an article on how to configure this at http://www.frogmorecs.com/arts/configure-lpdsvc.html

Yes that's exactly what I needed. Thanks!
