Printer Error

I am using your software with load balancing. My problem is when one printer is offline it continues to put printer job on that printer that is offline. Is there any way we can detect if the printer is offline? or Can I use scripting to tag that this printer should not be used so that no print jobs will be assigned to it?

Chris,

We don't talk directly to the printer so can't check it's status before printing. Once there is an errored job in the queue Print Distributor will skip that printer.

If you want to turn it off manually then the easiest way is to pause the printer, as long as there are other printers available in the pool they will get all the jobs.

i have tried your suggestion to pause the printer. but after i pause the printer it still gets print job queue. how can i we disable an printer?
