Jan,

On the whole that information is fixed.

You can include some information such as the document name or user through the standard fields support as well as attaching or in-lining the print file.

Thanks a Lot - Tony.. But.

I have searched the whole PD-Help file, as well as forums-tropics about attaching or in-lining the print file, but cannot find it anywhere.
Please supply this information, links etc. in this post.

Jan,

If you can be more specific I'll tell you exactly what you need to do.

Okay...
From any ERP-product you need to print customer invoices, account-announcements, vendor-agreements and so on, and sent them by PDF to the receivers... But How.
- You have to sent the email-TO adress, CC-adress, Body text with the printed document.
- The easiest it would be possible to sent the information by a definition-file, recieved by PD, and input this information to the Print-to-email function.
- Another way could be a PD-scripting job selecting the email data information from a SQL server, og pipe etc. and input the information this way.
- The third way is to supply this informaion in the document like %%email-to:john@doe.com%% %%attatch:sales.pdf%% in the document, and the PD-could read AND delete this from the document.

Anyway you have to supply new email information data from one print-job/document to another.

Jan,

These are all options available to you. The Script action lets you run some VBScript code which you can store in one of the standard fields (DocumentName) for instance and use the field code ?DN? where you need it.

The difficulty will be reading the print file, this is only really possible if you are using a text driver.

Hi Again

I beginning to be confused, i'm not sure we are on the same page here.
I have been very specific about the task and maybe a solution, and is only getting "These are all options available to you.." BUT where and how???

Is it posible to get some kind of help... to fill the Print-to-email fields, an example script, link or something.

Maybe i'm stuppid, but I cannot find it anywhere.

Jan,

The problem we are going to have is passing the fields through unchanged. As soon as there is a space in the text or maybe even just a long piece of text the printer driver is going to corrupt the information you are trying to pass through.

I'm sorry we don't have a solution for you.
